Terms of Service
Plain English, because you have enough to read between the lines about.
What Trinko is — and isn't
Trinko is a self-help tool that helps reduce reassurance-seeking with AI chatbots. It is not medical care, therapy, or a diagnostic tool, and using it does not create a clinician–patient relationship with anyone. It is not a substitute for professional treatment (such as ERP therapy or medication), and you shouldn't stop or change any treatment because of it. Its content draws on published clinical writing, but Trinko itself has not been clinically validated.
Emergencies
Trinko is not a crisis service and is deliberately built to step aside from safety-related messages. If you are in crisis or at risk of harming yourself or others, contact your local emergency number or a crisis line immediately.
Your account
You need a Google sign-in to use Trinko, and you must be at least 16. You're responsible for your account. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time on your account page — deletion is immediate and complete.
Acceptable use
Don't abuse the service: no automated scraping, no attempts to extract the underlying clinical content, no probing other users' data, no using Trinko in your own product without our written agreement. Rate limits exist and generous use by real humans will never hit them.
Cost
Trinko is currently free. If optional donations are offered, they are voluntary, non-refundable contributions to running costs and buy no additional features. If this ever changes, we'll say so clearly, in advance, on this site.
No warranty, limited liability
Trinko is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. It can miss repeats, misjudge questions, or be unavailable. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages arising from your use of (or inability to use) the service. Your AI assistant is a separate product with its own terms — what it says is between you and its provider.
Changes
We may update these terms; material changes will be noted on this page with a new date. Continuing to use Trinko after changes means you accept them.
